Pastor Jeremiah D. ThompsonI count it a great privilege to serve the Lord as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene, and I am so blessed to be serving alongside a great group of people here at Elgin Church of the Nazarene.
The Lord has brought me through many things in life to bring me to this point, and I truly grateful to Him for all He has done. At the age of fifteen, I was involved in a terrible accident. The only way that I survived was through a miracle. As I look back on my life and how the Lord has led me and guided me through the challenges of life, I can only stand in awe of all he has done. I was able to attend Olivet Nazarene University and learn from some tremendous professors. I also met and married my wonderful wife Charlene. After graduation in 2001, I took a position in Hermitage, PA at Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene. In 2004, I came to Elgin Church of the Nazarene in a way that only God can orchestrate.
A verse that has been very special to me is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)
